NYC DOB Worker Wallet Cards

Since November 1, 2024, the new WORKER WALLET houses proof of all your certification information in ONE card.
Andromeda Academy Of Construction Trades started issuing the WORKER WALLET through the NYCDOB Training Connect platform. The new card is the only card DOB will accept as valid proof for the worker cards listed above.
Existing worker qualification cards issued prior to November 1, 2024, must be replaced by July 1, 2025, for any of the following-listed certification card holders to perform work that requires the qualification.
The Worker Wallet Card is NOT replacing the SST Cards. The Worker Wallet and SST Cards will remain separate cards until further notice. However, both cards will be linked to the individual’s profile in Training Connect.
Who needs a Worker Wallet Card?
If you have or will obtain any of these certifications, you’ll need a Worker Wallet Card:
- 4-Hour Mast Climber User/Operator and Refresher CRA-103
- 16-Hour Rigging Worker
- 8-Hour Rigging Worker Refresher
- 32-Hour Rigging Supervisor
- 16-Hour Rigging Supervisor Refresher
- 7-Hour Periodic Gas Piping Inspector Qualification
- 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User and Refresher (Scaffold Card and SST)
- 32-Hour Supported Scaffold Installer & Remover
- 8-Hour Supported Scaffold Installer & Remover Refresher
- 16-Hour Suspended Scaffold User
- 8-Hour Suspended Scaffold User Refresher
- 32-Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor
- 8-Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor Refresher
How soon do I need a Worker Wallet Card?
Worker Wallets will be issued following the completion of any of the above courses as of November 1, 2024. If you’ve already completed one or more of these courses, you have until July 1, 2025, to get yours. After that point, they’ll be required, and you won’t be able to work without one.
I already have some of these certifications. How do I transition to the Worker Wallet Card before July 2025?
Andromeda Academy can issue the card. All you need to do is:
- Take a photo of:
- Your SST card.
- Cards of the courses you completed to be eligible for the Worker Wallet card.
- A passport-style photo of you (neutral background, both ears visible, no glasses, no smiling, no headwear unless it has a religious purpose.)
- Email the photos to Laura.Pastran@andromedaacademy.com
- We will email you a credit card authorization form that you need to fill out and return. If you do not have a debit/credit card, you will need to call 347.510.4283 to make an appointment and pay in person before we can start working on your replacement card.
You will not receive the card the same day you pay for it. - We will send you a receipt and a date when you can come and pick up your new card.
The usual processing time is up to one week for individuals and up to two weeks for groups or companies.

How much does a Worker Wallet Card cost?
Getting your Worker Wallet Card through Andromeda Academy will cost $50.00.
Any scaffold or rigging cards issued on or after 11/1/24 will need to be issued on a Worker Wallet Card.
When does a Worker Wallet Card expire?
Worker Wallet Cards don’t ever expire. However, they have a “valid through” date which states the lifespan of the card and the courses themselves do expire. You can use the Training Connect app on your phone to check your current certifications.
Do I need a Worker Wallet Card after every course?
No, the card is a one-time purchase. Any past or future NYC DOB scaffold or rigging training (s) will be added to your Training Connect Profile and appear when the Worker Wallet Card is scanned*.
*For prior training to be added, it must be current (not expired) and validated by the issuing provider. A clear copy of the credential must be submitted at the time of the request.

Where can I get a Worker Wallet Card?
We are an Approved Provider for the Worker Wallet Card. Only those DOB Approved Course Providers with specific approval for the courses on the Worker Wallet Card can issue a Worker Wallet Card.
